Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

credit reporting

I just recieved a copy of my credit file. I noticed that the same account is being reported by 3 different collection agencies(the original creditor and 2 third party collections)this is seriously affecting my credit score. Also It was my understanding that any collections entries on a credit file were supposed to drop off after seven years.
