Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

car payment agreement

I made a verbal agreement to take over payments of a car owned by my boss. Payments were automatically deducted from my paycheck each month. Six months later the company let me go. One week afterwards my boss notified me that the car needed to be returned to the finance company for non-payment. Vehicle was repossessed about five days later. Do I have any recourse in recovering some or all of the payments deducted and not made towards the vehicle?

Re: car payment agreement

Probably not, assuming that you were using the car during that time. Remember, your boss is on the hook for the unpaid balance.
