Credit liability

If a manager has a company credit card with his/her name on the card and the manager is fired prior to the selling of the store. Dose the credit card company have any leagal standing to look for payment from the employee for oustanding charges not paid by the company owner after closing the account? Note: The company is a Texas LLC

A credit card in the name of the company would be the company's responsibility or the name of the person applying for the credit card on behalf of the company.
