Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Filing a complaint against an attorney.

During a case with my ex-husband over child custody matters, I hired an attorney who eventually withdrew from the case. He was my attorney from Oct. 2004 to Nov. 2005. I believe he did not provide adequate legal services and now I would like to see what I can do about the money I paid him over the 11 month period in which he was my attorney. He did many things that in my opinion was very unprofessional and not worth the fee he charged. He often reset the case and never kept me up to date on anything important events withen the case. He withdrew before the case finished and still demands payment. Please help. [email protected]

Re: Filing a complaint against an attorney.

You can file a complaint with the State Bar if you think your attorney has acted improperly. If your attorney is a member of a local bar, there may be some means of resolving fee disputes.
