Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

judgement

a company has a judgement on what was originally a secured loan.I returned the vehicles at the time.They tagged on lawyers fees and intrerest and filed for this jugement 6 Years after the fact in NY The original debt was 50000 now with all the other charges it is 150000 They were given the jugement in 2006 I just found out. as of now they have not tried to collect. But since I have awoken a seeping giant I expect them to as soon as they can.

If they have a judgment, then you are serious trouble. Look for a NY lawyer to see if they have a problem with service or personal jurisdiction -- to possibly set aside the judgment; and see if you have any viable defenses (or negotiations) to the charges. Good luck. TC
