Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I know I have had a judgment placed on my credit due to a reposed vehicle. I'm not sure but I think they may have placed a lien on my house. It has been declared a homestead. I am married now and have been thinking about putting the house in my husbands name for refinancing. We may even sale the house. What can be done if they did place a lien and is my husband responsible for the judgment also, it was placed on my credit pre marriage.

Since the debt is prior to marriage, your husband is not liable for the debt. If the creditor placed a judgment on your homestead, contact an attorney immediately, as not only can it be removed, they may end up owing you money.
