Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

If I am willing tomake payments, can a creditor still force a writ of execution?

I have a $4000 judgement against me for unpaid invoices. I am willing to pay off the debt in 18 months, but the creditor wants to be paid in full now or he will exercise a writ of execution and try and seize property of auction. I have no accounts or investments that can be seized, but I am worried that he will try and take household property or our extra vehicle.

What can I do?

The judgment creditor isn't obligated to take anything less than the complete judgment.

Most household property is exempt from levy and sale, plus miscellaneous personal property of up to $50,000 if a married couple.

You owe $4,000 as a matter of law, and I'm having a hard time with the "extra" vehicle.
