Voluntary Repo

Due to financial problems I recently let my car be repossessed, I did this on a voluntary repossesion. They have since sold my vehicle at auction and are now coming to me for the remainder of the balance. I do not have the 11,000 to pay them and I am not able to come up with the $5600 they have said they will settle for by EOB 12/29/06. My concern is can they force me to sell my home or my other vehicle to settle this debt?
