Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

1 have a class A misdemeanor for possession of marijuana under an ounce with in a drug free zone. my father called the cops for some pot and there just happened to be 3 home ran day cares with in 1000 feet or something like that. this is my first offense and i did not resist or show disrespect. drug paraphernalia for one pipe and then of course my pot that was .7 of an oz .9 with the baggy weighed into it. my grades are all a's and b's and i do have a job (if this will go for anything in court). there was also a scale but the report said possession not intent to distribute. what do u think the judge will do? i live in lubbock texas and im 16 years old. i know the maximum is 1 year imprisonment and up to a 4000$ fine. im hoping for probation and a small fine. probation will not bother me because i don't smoke anyway. i just did this in between jobs. i know its wrong and i apologize to every parent out there.

Based on what you have written, there are a variety of options which may be available to you in your case. First, which county is your case pending in? Second, which court is handling your case? Third, where specifically was the drugs and pipe found? Fourth, where did the police stop you and why did they stop you? These are some very important questions which need to be answered prior to agreeing to anything from the prosecuting attorney's office. You should really speak with a criminal defense law firm to ensure that you are fully protecting your rights and interests. Call us if we can help.
