Can a 34 year old man go to jail for dating a 17 year old, but she is turning 18 in one month?

In the state of Texas, 17 is the legal age of consent. If you are in another state, it may be 18 or higher.

If dating does not include touching or sex.
Her dad might shoot you though, if you touch her or not.
