Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Legal Drug Use

I was recently involved in a criminal mischief case. (felony) I have been under a Drs. care for about 18 months for depression and panic/anxiety disorders. I am currently on Zoloft and Ativan. I do not abuse either I am on a low dose but due to family situations/stresses I take as needed on the ativan. My question is I have never been in trouble with the law before and to this day i know I did wrong but the meds seem to numb the effect of it on me. My question is this any defense to get a lighter sentence if any? I have already taken a plea and am due for my PSI next week. My lawyer knows nothing about this because I thought it seemed like a copout until I started researching it online. Is it to late or should I tell my lawyer or just reveal it in the PSI?

Re: Legal Drug Use

You need to contact your attorney immediately and let them know all this information as soon as possible. Do not wait until the court date, or until the PSI is completed.
