Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Murder by association

My nephew was convicted of murder by association when he was 16. He is now 31 and every time he comes up for parole he is denied. He has kept a very clean record since his incarceration and my family needs to know how we can help him in the fight to get his parole granted. Afterall, he did not kill anyone, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. How would I go about getting his case# here in Texas and a copy of his court records (case & hearing)? He recently wrote and told me that his sentence was reduced. Any information you might be able to help my family and I in getting something done would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Go the District Clerk's Office in the County where your nephew was convicted and you should be able to order copies of the records since they will be public records. Most of the time it has been my experience if you have his full name and date of birth, the Clerk's can help you locate the records.
