my nieghbor killed my 11 ft. pythoon in his yard when it got out what can i do?

my snake got out. it crawled through a hole in the screen on the window it went to my neighbors and crawled on their refridgerator in a basket outside the neighbor found it and pushed it off the top of the fridge and cut its head off with a shovel. what can i do?

Oddly enough, I thought that there was a simple straightforward answer to your question. I assumed, apparently, wrongly, that Marshall city code restricted the keeping of a python.

Although I reviewed the statutes and codes only briefly, it appears at first glance, that there is no prohibition from you having a python as a pet. Which is normally a prohibition from you seeking any damages.

You still have to overcome the obstacle that you did not properly restrain your pet, which is required. That alone would create an obstacle to your recovery of any damages.

It is doubtful that an attorney would take this case on without a sizeable retainer. If you are intent on pursuing your neighbor, however, you could present a lawsuit, however weak.
