Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I just saw online I have an outstanding warrant for theft <$50, shoplifting in Terrell, tx even though I dispute the allegations. My drivers license is up for renewal this month (Dec). Will I be able to renew it if I go to local office to renew will I be arrested? Or since I don't have a car anymore would I be able to just get a regular ID without being arrested?

Since there is an outstanding warrant, you run the risk of being arrested if trying to renew your TDL or obtain an ID. Both items are issued through DPS offices - they are law enforcement officers. If this is a Class C - talk to a lawyer - you may be able to resolve it with less expense and hassle than you think. Good luck.
