Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I had a physical altercation with the Father of my childs girlfriend which resulted in me being arrested. After I was released I was served with Protective Orders/Restraining order and while going through the paperwork I read the statement given by the "girlfriend" and her attorney. She stated that I used a rock and attacked her as well as hitting her with my car while she was standing on the sidewalk. She also said I hit her first and she had to fight back in defense. I have a upcoming court date for the restraining order and another court date a few days after for the arrest charges. I need some advice as how to go about telling the truth of what happened in a professional manner as I have never been through this before. I am new to Texas and have no friends or family here. I moved to Texas so my 18month daughter could be closer to her Father (which whom I live with) and who is seeing the girl I got into the fight with. The situtation began with Him and I argueing and I was so fed up I scratched the car he was driving which was the "girlfriends" (By which I know was wrong and I am guilty of). I then went into his Sisters house to calm down and his Sister proceeded to call the "girlfriend" to tell her what I had done to the car. Knowing the girlfriend and I dont get along she told the girlfriend to comeover. I had no idea the girlfriend was on her way but was so fed up with the drama I went outside to get into my car and go home when all of a sudden the girlfriend pulls up, gets out and starts yelling at me she then picks up rock off the ground and tells me she is going to throw it at my car. I then tell her she was not going to throw anything at my car she comes up to me and hits me. We fight which ends with me on top of her and her feeling defeated. She then grabs her phone and calls the cops so I get in my car and as I am leaving she stands behind my car and yells "what are you gonna do, hit me" I then drive off. I left because I needed away from the problem and felt if I didnt leave it wouldve got much worse. About a hour later the police come to my house and ask what happened I tell them the same as I am writing now. I then am arrested (for the 1st time in my life) on charges of ASSAULT WITH BODILY INJURY and CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. I admit to my wrong doings but now I dont know what to do because she has lied and made me out to be someone I am not. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You!!

You MUST hire a good lawyer to represent you. Do not talk with anyone but a lawyer.
