Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I recently got into a road rage incident and the guy stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road, got out of his car and kicked in my car door. He was not arrested. I am pretty sure the door will cost more then $1000 to fix if not needing a new door in the first place. I was to press charges for property damages and have him arrested. Can i Still have the guy arrested a day later? there was an incident report taken by the police and i have a case number.

If the police took a report and gave you a case number, then check with them on the status. Once they investigate, the case will be given to the prosecutor to determine if charges will be filed.
