Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Is robbery considered a crime involving abuse of a person? I want to apply to vet school but I read that any crimes involving abuse of a person or animal are an automatic rejection. This was over 10 years ago. I live in Texas, I am not sure if the laws are different in different states.

We don't call it abuse of a person but it does involve a human victim who is arguably terrorized in order to perpetrate a theft. I would call and ask before I wasted any money.

The penal code divides offenses into categories. Robbery is in the category of "crimes against property." However, you should consult with the licensing department for the field that you are trying to enter. They may consider robbery a crime against persons according to their own internal rules.

In addition, you did not give information regarding how the robbery case was disposed of, but you should contact an attorney to see if you are eligible to have the case removed from your criminal record.
