Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

Serving A Sentence

A friend has been convicted of drunk driving again. He is serving a 4 year sentence for an incident in one county, but due to conviction this violates his probation in another county. What has to be done to get these 2 sentences to run concurrently? According to his attorney this is the deal that was made with the DA but no paper work has been filed to date to cause this to occur. He is eligible for parole in the next 2 weeks and I am not sure how to proceed to make sure that if he is released he does not have to return to jail. Will he have to be bench warranted to the other county and go before the judge there to make this happen? If so how can I proceed from here?
