Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My 22 year old nephew died a month ago and has a 2 1/2 year old daughter. He was living with his 21 year old girlfriend at the time and now she is living at home with her parents. She has been making it difficult for the grandparents to see the baby, always coming up with excuses. Do grandparents get to have any visitation rights in Texas especially since they have both been a part of the babies life and have help financially.

They need to talk to an experienced family law attorney in their county as soon as possible about their options.

They can try to visit the child based on the fact that their son (the father) has died.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Look on this website & on www.avvo.com for an attorney.

Good luck!
