Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

After 2 years now of trying to change our custody agreement I am at a loss. My children tell me ever 1st 3rd and 5th weekend visitation that they want to live with me. My attorney requested they speak with the judge in chambers after my ex didn't agree to the kids talking to another party. my ex brought them and she talked to my kids one at a time alone in her office. about 2 weeks later she asked my attorney to have me bring them in again to speak with her....so I did. I didn't ask they kids what was said or talked bout and they both asked if I wanted to know and I said no why? they said well momma told us what to say and asked what all was said the last time they went. So my question is what do I do now? Nothing has happened and my exs attorney claims we need to go to mediation but if the judge is going to let them move with me why would I go to mediation to agree to anything because I know she will never agree to let them move. All she cares about now that I have started all this with the girls is that shes going to get more child support money....so she cares about more money and im trying to see my kids as much as possible and would live for them to live with me. any suggestions?

Unless the judge has ordered mediation you are not required to mediate anything. If the judge has modified the original order to award you primary possession of the children then the judge's order must be followed. Talk to your attorney about whether you must attend mediation.
