Abandonment of one spouse by another

Man and woman married in Tx move to Ar man retires from AF

and moves back to Tx Woman files for divorce-case dismissed no jurisdiction-woman goes back to her home in Tx

Man not aware that divorce was not granted-marries and 2-yrs later divorces another woman-man dies after long illness-surviving brothers cannot locate will-does the first wife have any legal standing since she never came back?Should we try to contact her and ask if she ever got another divorce? Does she have any property rights?

Does the dead man still have any legal standing regarding

this situation-Thanx-If Fran takes this one on I hope she

has the aspirin bottle handy.

The premise has a problem with it: The case would not be dismissed for want of jurisdiction.

Regardless, if the first wife was never divorced, she is still the one and only wife.
