Baby Rights

My wife and I have recently decided to get divorced. There is nothing in writing nor does anyone have rights to our baby. She recently took off out of state with our baby. I need to know what I can do???

File for divorce in your county and seek custody. See an attorney. It's just a little trickier now. Might cost a little more money.

You need to contact and attorney immediately. Depending upon how recently she left Texas, she has probably not met the jurisdiction requirements in her new location to allow her to file for divorce. You need to file for divorce where you reside, serve her with notice at her new location and force a hearing in the local Court to enter temporary orders, one of which will be to return the child back here.
