Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my ex boyfriend has custody of our son, and my ex is incarcerated, and about to go back to prison for a long time. my son is living with my ex's mother, and i am wondering if i have legal grounds to go and pick up my son and bring him back to live with me? or do i have to go before a judge?

It depends entirely on the wording of the court order that resulted from the Suit Affecting Parent-Child relationship. Retain an attorney to review the order, and advise you on your rights and your options.
