Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My brother In law married his wife in 2008 and married her again in 2010 - I can find the public records for both marriage licenses. But I can't find a divorce record in the public record. Is it possible they never divorced and did actually get married twice? What are the legal consequences for him if that is the case?

Have you contacted the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Austin, Texas? They have the records for all divorces throughout the State of Texas. Whenever a divorce is finalized, one of the required forms by all courts is the BVS Form to be sent to Austin.
If their divorce is not listed, then it was not finished and signed by a judge.
What does that mean? That he's still married to her.
