If a child is 18 and decides to leave his mothers house hold, yet the father is required by a court order to continue paying the mother child support, can the mother legally keep the money or does she have to give some to the child?

The money goes to the mom. It was not ordered by a court for the money to go to the child. Technically, if the child leaves home then dad needs to go to court and ask for a modification. If the child is about to graduate from high school in a couple of months, it might not be worth the time and effort to seek a modification.
