Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

common law divorce

In 1981, when I got pregnant with my childrens father, I started using his last name, even changed my ss card for tax purposes. we seperated after 7 years and in 1991 I legally married another man and changed my last name to his. I did not have anybody question this till recently. Im moving out of state and the DMV are questioning why my marrage license has my ''common law' name on it. When all my other forms if ID are my current married name. How do I optain information regarding my previous last name, in order to optain a out of state drivers license, I have no court paperwork,, or divorce papers. The Dmv wants to know the link between my madian name, ''common law name'' and now my married name. Am I commenting bigamy?
