Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Consent

My husband was divorced in Kaufman County with the standard divorce decree. Ex-wife took the children on a vacation with Carnival Cruise Lines to Mexico and he was not informed by mail or did he sign a consent to take them out of the country. Is that contempt of court? Is she suppose to have him sign something consenting to them traveling out of the country? What is the standard rule

Re: Consent

Your husband needs to read his decree and see what it says. Decrees can be modified from a standard order. Normally when children are taken out of the country by a divorced parent, a form must be signed by the other parent to give permission to leave the country. This form is submitted with the tickets before boarding planes and ships. Call Carnival to see what their policy is and see if a form was submitted.
