Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

CPS help

In Feb. we learned that our sons ex girlfriend had passed away and that his 10 yr old daughter was in CPS Harris County. His name is not on the birth certificate but both the mother & her dad named him and also where we could be contacted & told we had been trying to get custody of this child since day one. We've lived in this house for the last 29 yrs so there was no problem in locating us. CPS held a hearing of which we were never notified.

Have filled out & returned all the paper work and haven't heard a word. Can help or suggestions would be greatly appareciated. We can provide our sweetpea with lots of love, security and stability. We want our little girl reunited with a family that truly loves and cherishes her. Thank you.

Re: CPS help

You need an attorney to take the necessary steps so that you are notified of all hearings.

Run - don't walk - to a lawyer's office.

Writing a letter to CPS is not enough.

Good luck!
