Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My daughter is 17.

I understand that if she leaves home I can not report her missing. What can I do if she moves in with her boyfriend 20.

17 is a "strange" age in Texas.

She can leave but she cannot take anything that you bought for her. It belongs to you - computer, cell phone, furniture, and technically, her clothes.

If she received something as a gift, it's her. Or if she inherited it.

Re-key your home and change the code on your alarm. I've seen houses broken into many times after a 17 yr. old moves out - strangely only their stuff is stolen.

Feel free to contact your local policing agency for more advice.

Good luck!
