Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my daughters dad is in prison and is a sex offender if i decided to file for child support when he gets out what do they do on visitation rights cause i dont want him a lone with her....now if i decide different he is not on the birth record so he has no rights but if he goes to try and get rights and i dont want him to have anything to do with her will they grant that since he is a sex offender

I highly recommend that you talk to an experienced family law attorney.

If you file for support, then he has the right to have parental rights and duties as well as visitation with the child.

Many courts will give a registered sex offender visits with their kids. You need to be careful before opening up this "can of worms".
