Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Can ex-wife not allow father's visitation?

Hello,

My boyfriend's ex-wife is trying to deny his visitation rights based on her objection to my presence. I don't have a criminal background, and I'm great with the kids. She says that because I was abused as a child, she can refuse to let him pick up the children if they are going to be around me as well. She's refused to answer his calls for two weeks, and the court order allows him to pick the kids up for the weekend.

Thanks.

She can avoid following court orders if and omly if she has new court orders that change the terms. Failure to follow court orders means that she could face jail time for failure to follow the rules. Judges are pretty firm about having their orders followed. I would have to know more details before I could advise you further.
