Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex-wife in New Jersey wants to send my daughter to live with me in Texas. When we were divorced I only got visitation rights and had to pay child support. Is there anything that I have to do for this to be legal.

Yes, you need to have a judge sign legal papers giving you legal custody.

Talk to an experienced family law attorney in your county about how to do this.

If everyone is agreeable it should be fast & easy - God willing!

Good luck!
