Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

When i went to file for child support my ex was paying child support on another child so that lowered the amount that my child got. Well now the other child is living with him and so is the mother getting the child support can he do that? If he cant do that can i call someone to get more for my child? He also got a better paying job so can i call my lawyer and request for more child support?
