Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I found out my husband was having an affair with a married women, and she made repeated implied threats that I better not tell her husband about it, since it would affect her divorce case, property settlement and child custody. She threatened to have a restraining order put on me to keep me from telling him. I know that intimidating a witness is a crime in a criminal case, what about a civil case such as divorce and child custody?

Well, you are not a witness in a criminal case so this is not a crime. She cannot stop you from telling her husband about her infidelity.

There is nothing she can do to prevent you from telling her husband. There is no restraint order available to her.
