Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex husband and I have standard visitation for my daughter. He has been making threats and harrasing phone calls to me. I have filed a report with the local police department. Am I in violation of the court order if I do not answer his phone calls in the state of Texas?

Can't really say. The Standard Possession Order doesn't have anything in it about telephone contact except to notify the other parent in case of certain events (child missing school, sick, etc.). It is not uncommon, however, for orders to have something in them about telephone access to the child by a parent. To determine whether you are in violation of an order you, or an attorney, would have to read the order carefully to see what it actually says.
