Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

International Divorce

My wife moved back to Sweden 2 years ago and we have decided to divorce. It is uncontested and we don't have children. If she files and is granted the divorce over there do I need to do anything over here in the US?

No. It is valid in the US. But, you should require service and see what you have to do to enter an answer. In order to have valid service under the Hague Convention, the pleadings and the proceedings have to be translated for you. If you speak and read and write Swedish, you could waive this requirement.
