Re: legal seperation

Texas does not have legal separation in the same way as some other states. A person files for divorce, then often asks the court for temporary orders to give the parties rules to live by while the divorce is pending. Most courts will dismiss a pending divorce after six months of no activity. If there is activity, then it takes as long as it takes, or until it is set for trial or settled.
