Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex was still legally married to his first ex wife the entire 7 years we were married. His 1st divorce was just finalized this year after we have been seperate for 2 years. Do I still need to file a divorce?

Yes. If he was married to the both of you, his divorce from the first ex ratifies the marriage to you. So if you want to end your marriage to him, you need to divorce him.
