Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Missing Child

The mother of my child recently had the child support order stopped. I no longer have to pay child support but she has taken my child and they are both no where to be find. What can I do? She lives with her mother and I normally get to see her on the weekends but that stopped. Please any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated as I miss my child so much.

Re: Missing Child

You're going to have to file a Motion for Enforcement and Motion for Contempt in the Court that "stopped" (highly unusual) the child support. You will need a lawyer for this. This is not on the internet (that I know of).

Re: Missing Child

If you weren't paying child support, it may be that you are no longer the legal parent of this child, in which case you don't have the right to see them. Otherwise, I don't know what is going on from your question and can only suggest you get a family law attorney.
