Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

The mother of my child neglected our child , I finally got the nerve to file for custody because she stopped coming around and all of a sudden she came and took the child after almost a year because in her words she needed help because she was on drugs so I need help because no one seems to know how to help a father get back his child but I really want him back

I am not sure from your explanation who has primary custody under the current court orders but whatever the court orders say is what should be followed unless the parties have agreed otherwise. If the court orders or an agreement of the parties is not being followed then the proper course of action is to file an enforcement to force whoever is not complying with the court orders to comply or suffer penalties--including jail time. If you are trying to change the present court orders then a modification is the proper course of action. I would encourage you to talk to a family law attorney about these issues as we help our clients with these issues on a regular basis.
