Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have been ordered to attend mediation with my exwife, I am pro se defending myself. My question is: My current wife is subject to this suit and I want her to attend mediation with me, is their a law that will prohibit her from being with me during mediation even though she is part subject to this suite? Can I motion the court to include her to? If she is included will this make her fianicallly responsible for th child aslo, will her income be included?

Your current wife is not part of this suit and you can't just ask that she become part of the suit.

There is no law that prohibits her from being with you, but different mediators have different rules. You should check with the mediator and find out if he or she will allow your wife to be in the room with you during the mediation. Some will, some won't. A lot depends on the format of the mediation.

You really should consider hiring an attorney. What you pay for an attorney now may very well be less than what you could end up paying in the future because you tried to represent yourself without knowing the law and the standards.
