Paternal DNA Testing

After 8 years of having my son, who I have doubt in the past is actually my son I have decided to get a paternity test. My ex is talking about my son going to live with her and having me pay child support. I want to make sure once and for all and pout the doubt to rest as to if he is or is not my son.I plan on taking him and myself to get test. He currently lives with me and my ex and I have joint managing conservatorship. Do I have to 1. Get her approval. 2. What can happen if I find out he is not after 8yrs. Can I still be ordered to pay child support even though he is not mine and can I fight that? I don;t feelit would be right after her lying to me all these years of me doing the right thing.

It is important to review your entire legal history. If you know the blood groups of your son, yourself and your wife (0, A, B, AB), that may be of some use as well.
