My son's dad want to sign over rights and my son is 6 years old. This will hurt him emotionally and mentally, do I have any say in this?

There's no such thing in Texas law as "signing over one's parental rights."

What CAN happen is that somebody petitions the court for termination of parental rights - his own, or somebody else's. Dad can file such a petition and allege that it's in the child's best interest for Dad's parental rights to be terminated. The Court might not agree with him, however.

There's nothing that Dad can do unilaterally (and nothing he can "sign") that terminates his parental rights and duties.
