Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Spoiled ex-husband

I have 2 kids (8&9) with my ex husband. I have always packed their clothes to go to his house but he always sends them back dirty, stained, and ruins their shoes along with it. He does not feel like he has to buy them clothes for his house and he insists that I pack them clothes. Sometimes he does not even send back all of their clothes. I have a standard divorce in Texas and I am wondering if I legally have to send them clothes for the weekend or not. He also insists that I make the kids ready to be picked up earlier or later to his convience. I do this for him even when I have to leave work early for him to get them. But if I ask him to drop the kids off at my moms instead of my house when he is returning them (5-6 mile difference) he gets mad at me, starts yelling and never wants to do anything in return for me (even though I rarley ask for something special from him) I'm tired of it and tired of buying clothes that never come back or come back ruined, what rights do I have in this matter?

You have the right to be a good mom. If he was a cool guy, you would still be married to him.

His behavior is infantile and ridiculous, and it is not worth your children's happiness, or thousands of dollars in legal fees to remind him that he is a jerk.

Take the high road. Let it go. Be cheerful for the sake of the kids.

In ten years they will see the difference.

It's not uncommon in cases like these for a divorce decree or modification order to include a clause that says the children must be returned from visitation with the clothes they were wearing and everything they took with them. You'd have to get a court order for that, however, and it might cost more than quite a few clothes.
