Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was with a woman for the last 8 years. We went to the court house and got a license saying we were common law married. I just recently found out she still legally married to her first husband. Even though she signed two licenses how much trouble can she get in? Can I get in trouble for turning in the information into the police? Can this information help me get custody of my son?

She is a bigamist, and a criminal. Bigamy is a felony in Texas.

You won't "get in trouble" if you report her to the police.

It probably won't make much of a difference in a custody fight.
