civil judjement

after loosing a civil judjment can you still appeal even if it's after the deadline or do you have to open a whole new case to present your evidence that will clear you.

Generally, you cannot just file another lawsuit in order to appeal a previous lawsuit. You must go through the proper chain of appellate courts in order to appeal your issue.

If you have, in fact, missed the deadline for appeal, there is likely nothing you can do. I would recommend that you speak with an attorney who practices appellate law as soon as possible to determine if you may be able to appeal your case at this point.

Just to amplify Mr. Warren's response, there is sometimes more than one deadline for appeal. If all deadlines are passed, you would have no opportunity to present further evidence. If you should have the opportunity to file a bill of review, the evidence must be something that was not available to you during the first case. If you don't know what a bill of review is, you should discuss it with an apppellate attorney as suggested by Mr. Warren.
