Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Civil traffic court

I was rear-ended while sitting stopped at a traffic light on a very busy street in the daytime. The driver was cited for (?). He requested a court date to fight the ticket. He did not appear. The investigating officer and I both appeared as scheduled. A warrant was issued for the driver's arrest. Now, eight months later, I received a summons to appear. Again.

My question: can I seek reimbursement from the driver for my lost wages, travel expenses, parking garage fees, etc...?

Re: Civil traffic court

You can ask the judge. I doubt it, but judges sometimes things I don't expect. Good Luck.
