Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Dog Co-ownership

I co-own a show dog with a lady. She has sent me a demand letter by email giving me two days notice to return the dog before she takes legal action. Can she give me that short of notice and can a demand letter be emailed or does it have to be sent certified mail?

Email notice works because you got it. This is not a procedural issue because you aren't in court, yet. So she can give you two days notice or she can just sue you without advance notice.

If she's suing in Small Claims, she needs to give you ten days notice by certified mail.
