Liens, and judgments

first of all, let me say that im not really sure what area of law this is, but, i hope im right. so, here is my question.if someone has a judgment or lien against him ( i.e. tax lien, student loan ect.) and he is giving property (truck, house ect) can that ''gift'' be taken from him? thank you

Whether property is exempt from levy is determined by the nature and use of the property. A rent house is reachable, while a homestead isn't. More vehicles than people in the family unit are reachable, while one vehicle per person isn't.

Whether it's a gift or a purchase is immaterial.
