my name is linda brown and i,am being sued bya credit card company i stopped because my husband got hurt and is disable now for ten yrs. and i just could,nt handle all the bills so something had to go what can i do

To avoid harassment by phone..write each creditor "Cease and Desist all contact with me or others concerning this claim except in WRITING." We are indigent since my spouse is now disabled, we can pay nothing.

Then if called u could sue creditor and collector for violation of FDCPA..fair debt collection practices act..which includes damages, attorney fees and wipes out the debt...but they could sue..and since u are impoverished, get nothing..which would be done rarely..
